TERRY an ex St John Ambulance

Terry is a conversion for a customer the requirements were Traditional, lots of white, beach hut feel, plenty of storage including a place for an 8ft (2.43 mtrs) surfboard, a pullout table and a 6ft 4″ bed.

After removing the original interior, a mock up was made for the customer.

Work started on the new interior which was to include a seating area that would convert to a double bed

Two clear roof vents, a 300w solar panel and a loo vent were fitted to the roof.

A rear double bed was installed over the main storage area with walls fitted both sides. The inner was given a curved theme to match the surfboard.

After viewing the completed work on the bed area the customer expressed a desire to continue the rounded surfboard theme further. So the kitchen was fitted with a worktop and pullout table of the same curved style. The two shelves towards the rear of the worktop were angled making them a useful set of steps to access the high rear double bed.

A bulkhead was added with access through to the cab one half forming the wall for the toilet /shower area.

Kitchen units and doors were finished in a Steampunk style with handles and hinges painted copper to match the copper curtain rails.

Exterior rubbed down and first coats of paint applied.
